Grovewood Gallery Hosts “Along the Path” Exhibition
Post Date: 09.01.2010
An exhibition of the works by this month’s cover artist, Dale McEntire (see page 16), will be at Grovewood Gallery September 10 through the month of October. There will be an opening reception from 2–5 p.m. on September 11.
“Along the Path” will feature Dale’s contemporary land- scape paintings and sculptures. He began his art studies at Mercer University in Georgia and continued to evolve as an artist through private studies in the United States and Europe. He works in pastels and oils, and creates sculptures in stone, steel, glass, and bronze.
Also at Grovewood Gallery, in celebration of the first Annual American Craft Week (October 1–10), there will be a raffle for a handmade stainless steel wind sculpture by Utah artist Lyman Whitaker. Tickets for the sculpture, which is valued at $850, are just $10 each and will be on sale September 1 through October 10. All proceeds benefit Craft Emergency Relief Fund and have been specified for North Carolina Artists.
Grovewood Gallery is located at 111 Grovewood Road in Asheville. For more information, visit grovewood.com or call 828.253.7651.
