Many architects began studying art and only later transferred their sense of scale, proportion, texture and design to structures. While we know them for their buildings in which we work, live, play, study, and worship, many of the area’s architects are creating inspiring works of arts in much small forms.
An exhibition of these works were on display at the Pack Place Gallery in downtown Asheville. More than 20 architects showed paintings, watercolors, sculptures, photographs, weavings and furniture. The exhibit was a showcase the talents of architectural design professionals while educating the public about the link between art, architecture, and our built environment.
