Located in Asheville’s River Arts District, The Village Potters will feature the developing work of the collective’s studio assistants and apprentices in a show titled “Apprentices: The Next Generation.” Utilizing a range of methods in working with clay, apprentices Tori DiPietro, Hannah McGehee, Sarah Thurmond, Jenay Martin are each influenced by traditional techniques as well as modern trends. The exhibit will run May 20 through July 16, with an opening reception on Friday, May 20, from 4–7 p.m.
These apprentices work under the well-established master potters Sarah Wells Rolland, Judi Harwood, Melanie Robertson, Lori Theriault, Karen Dubois, and Dearing Davis. For more information, visit thevillagepotters.com.
