Make Your 30-Second Movie for ActionFest
Post Date: 03.20.2011
ActionFest comes to Carolina Cinema in Asheville April 7–10 for its second year. The event is devoted exclusively to action cinema and its unsung heroes. You can be an ActionFest hero by making your own film.
As part of ActionFest 2, you can compete in the ActionFest 30 Seconds of Action Challenge. Write, direct, and produce your 30-second masterpiece and then upload it to YouTube and e-mail the video’s URL to contests@actionfest.com before March 30. Include your full contact details and the complete credits for your video along with release forms for your cast, crew, and music. See the ActionFest Blog for more details and legal information.
Three submissions will be selected to represent the festival as “Official Bumpers” that will be shown at ActionFest 2011 events and screenings. Each finalist also will receive two VIP badges for this year’s festival. A jury will review the three finalists and award one filmmaker a grand prize that includes more than $600 worth of HD editing software courtesy of Sony.
