Pan Harmonia Offers Final Concert of the Season May 22

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, Pan Harmonia concludes its 16th season with a concert featuring Baroque Vibes, an ensemble that provides a tapestry of music by the Baroque masters. The concert will be at First Presbyterian Church, located at 40 Church Street in downtown Asheville.

The performance will include music by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Michel Corrette, and Jeanne-Philippe Rammeau. The ensemble is comprised of Barbara Weiss (harpsichord), Bradford Malbon (flute), Rosalind Buda (bassoon and Scottish smallpipes), and Bryon Hedgepeth (vibes and percussion).

Tickets ($15 in advance, $20 on May 22, and $5 for students) are available online at panharmonia.org.

In addition, at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 20, Barbara Weiss will offer a Chamber Music Chat discussing Baroque music “with a twist.” It will take place at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville. This event is free and open to the public.
