SAPG Photos on Exhibit at the Biltmore Estate
Post Date: 09.01.2010The Southern Appalachian Photographers Guild (SAPG) will be exhibiting at the Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate through October, 11–3 P.M. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 10–2 P.M. on Sundays.
SAPG members are some of the most highly celebrated photographers on the Eastern seaboard. Their standard of excellence and outstanding reputation makes this all-canvas exhibit one to impress. All images will be available for pur- chase through the Estate. SAPG members participating in the show are:

Hal Looney is a freelance photographer, devoting full-time to wildlife and nature photography. He travels extensively to capture exceptional images. His photographs have been featured in solo and juried exhibits, national and regional print and web media, and in galleries in North Carolina and Virginia.

Nancy Rotenberg is a freelance photographer, writer, and speaker. Her images have appeared in magazines including Country Gardens, National Geographic, and Outdoor Photographer. Her work is also on Hallmark, Red Oak, Sunrise and other greeting cards, and in several calendars including Mitsubishi, Nikon, and Inner Reflections.

Kevin Adams has been a naturalist, writer, teacher, and photographer for over 25 years. In addition to nature photography instruction and stock photography, Kevin works in the advertising and commercial photography market. He is the author of nine books, including the bestselling North Carolina Waterfalls.

Les Saucier is a professional nature photographer and has taught nature photography workshops across the country. He is the creator of the Flowerpod, an amazing tool for macro photographers. His credits include publication of images in numerous books and magazines, including National Geographic.

Susan Stanton, the founder of SAPG, is a professional fine art photographer. She has spent years traveling and photographing the beauty and rustic charm of the Southern Appalachians. Her work has appeared on the cover of The Laurel of Asheville and in numerous other magazines, and she has been featured in solo and group exhibits and galleries throughout the state.

Bill Lea, a professional nature photographer who is best known for his artistic documentation of deer and bear behavior and the various moods of the Great Smoky Mountains. More than 6,000 of Bill’s images have appeared in books, brochures, calendars, magazines and other publications.
