Asheville Humane Society: Animals Get New Digs
Post Date: 09.01.2010
September marks an historic month for the homeless and abandoned animals of Buncombe County. Asheville Humane Society’s Adoption and Education Center and the Buncombe County Animal Shelter will open their new facilities to the public near the middle of this month. After years of dedicated support by members of our community, these two state-of-the-art buildings have come to fruition.
Centrally located just off Brevard Road behind Deal Motorcars on Forever Friend Lane, the Center and Shelter will provide a safer, happier, and healthier environment for animals waiting to find their forever homes. These four-legged friends deserve the best our community can offer.
Make sure to visit, explore, and participate in the significance of this important and critical opening. Perhaps you will find the new love of your life to take into your own home.
Asheville Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the compassionate treatment of animals in our community through education, sheltering and adoption. For more information or to view available animals, visit ashevillehumane.org or call 828.253.6807.
