The Essentials of HOAs and Condos: What You Need to Know as a Board Member or Manager

Join the NC Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) for a “board member essentials” program. Topics will include differences in types of community associations, important governing documents, owner obligations, and recently adopted/proposed legislation impacting community associations.

Speaker Jim Slaughter is a partner in the law firm of Black, Slaughter & Black, which has one of the state’s largest HOA and condo association practices. He was the first NC attorney inducted as a Fellow into the national College of Community Association Lawyers and served as the College’s 2014 national President. He also served as 2016 President of NC-CAI and is the author of two books on association meeting procedure.
