Forstchen Booksigning at Europa in Black Mountain

Meet New York Times bestselling local author William R. Forstchen in Black Mountain at Europa at 125 Cherry Street at an author reception and booksigning from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, December 9.
In Forstchen’s John Matherson trilogy, One Second After, One Year After, and The Final Day, a man struggles to save his family and his small North Carolina town after America loses a war that sends our nation back to the Dark Ages because of an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). Although fictional, the three novels are set in Black Mountain and the surrounding area and feature local landmarks.
Forstchen holds a Ph.D. in history from Purdue University with specializations in military history and the history of technology. He serves as faculty fellow and professor of history at Montreat College.
