The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Please allow up to 48 hours for your even to be posted. If you encounter difficulties submitting an event, please email email@example.com.

Free Internet Safety Program for All Ages

The Joseph Initiative is presenting an informative class on Internet Safety for people of all ages. If you or your children use a smartphone or surf the internet, this class is for you. We have local and federal experts who will be there to teach us about internet security:
– How to protect your information so you don’t fall prey to identity theft.
– How to keep your children safe when they are using their smartphones or surfing the web.
– How the information you put on the web or send using an app never goes away.
– How your kids may be hiding what they are doing on their smartphones.
The class will only hold 50 people, so register now before all the spaces are filled.
