The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Handmade Holiday Sale

Join the WCU community for the annual Handmade Holiday Sale from 12pm to 7pm and enjoy shopping, live music, free snacks, and holiday cheer! This event features high-quality, handmade gifts created by students, staff, and alumni. Items for sale include artwork, ceramics, sculpture, wearable accessories, and a variety of other handmade craft items. Get an early start on holiday shopping by supporting local artists. This event is presented by the WCU Fine Art Museum at Bardo Arts Center and is located throughout the Bardo Arts Center lobby and Star Atrium. There is no entry fee to the event, however if you would like to by handmade items on site, artists appreciate payments made by cash or check. Please note that a portion of the sale generated goes to support programming at the WCU Fine Art Museum.
