The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Smoky Mountain Folk Festival

September 1, 2017 - September 2, 2017

The 47th Annual Smoky Mountain Folk Festival will offer two nights of the finest traditional music and dance of the Southern Appalachian Region. The main shows begin at 6:15 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, on the grand stage of Stuart Auditorium overlooking beautiful Lake Junaluska. Lodging and meal packages are available for those wishing to stay at Lake Junaluska.
