Annual Flip Flop Hop

Step out for an evening of dancing at the 5th annual Flip Flop Hop: Dancing for Down Syndrome February 12 at the Orange Peel at 7 p.m.
Presented by the Western North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance (WNCDSA), this tropical-themed gala will include silent and live auctions and island fare provided by Marta’s Catering. Steve Weams & the Caribbean Cowboys Band will provide the tropical spirit with their mix of reggae, Buffett tunes, beach, blues, and boogie. Dashboard Blue will be opening for the Caribbean Cowboys.
Sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, Clear Channel Radio, and other local businesses, the event raises funds to sup- port education, advocacy, and special projects of the Alliance. Other programs supported by the event include an annual camp & enrichment program scholarships, monthly parent meetings, annual family picnic, and new parent packages. Tickets are $50 per person and include two drinks and dinner.
