Post Date: 05.01.2011
The Adler Gallery at Posana Café, 1 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville, is hosting “An Unfinished Woman,” a memorial exhibit of works by Ellen Elizabeth Pasay, a 28-year-old who took her own life two years ago after a long battle with mental illness. The show will run through May which is Mental Health Month. “An Un- finished Woman” was first exhibited in Connecticut, one year after Ellen’s death. Shelagh Byrne, Ellen’s aunt, says, “Our hope as a family is to raise awareness of the many struggles young and old alike have with this debilitating illness.” For more information, visit posanacafe.com.
