It wasn’t easy. Kenny Pieper’s older brother and sister were straight A students. But try as he might, he couldn’t live up to the expectations his teachers in the Spruce Pine school had for him. “It left me filled with self-doubt,” says Kenny. Tests revealed he was dyslexic.
