14th Annual Black Mountain Arts and Craft Show
Post Date: 06.01.2011The Old Depot Association and Gallery is hosting the always popular Black Mountain Arts and Crafts Show June 4–5 in historic downtown Black Mountain. Hours are 10–6 p.m. on Saturday and 10–5 p.m. on Sunday. The show is free and open to the public. Sixty-five booths of juried arts and crafts will feature an array of works including woodwork, pottery, jewelry, painting, stained glass, fiber art, papier-mâché, and handcrafted musical instruments. The event will also include artist demonstrations, food, and music.
The Old Depot Association is a nonprofit volunteer organization started in 1976 to protect and maintain the hundred-year-old train depot and to support the teaching of mountain and heritage crafts in the local Swannanoa Valley Schools. To learn more, visit olddepot.org or call 828.669.6583.
