Annual Paws on Parade Walk-A-Thon
Post Date: 06.01.2011
Dogs (and their dog-loving humans and friends) are invited to participate in the annual Paws on Parade Walk-A-Thon from 9–11 A.M. on Saturday, June 11, at Carrier Park in Asheville. The event is a fund-raiser for Paws On a Mission Pet Therapy Program.
Paws On A Mission (formerly known as Paws With A Purpose) is a group of dedicated volunteers who help their pets provide animal-assisted activities and therapy services to individuals of all ages in healthcare facilities, community agencies, correctional facilities, and schools who have physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
The event is open to the public and all well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to participate in the Walk-A-Thon. For more information or to receive the fund-raising packet, call Jade Frank at 213.0131 or email her at olivia.frank@msj.org. Rain or shine, enjoy the morning with furry friends and support the Paws On A Mission Pet Therapy Program.
