Autumn ... and Then Some: Constance Williams Gallery
Post Date: 10.01.2011
Constance Williams Working Artist Gallery is hosting a fall exhibit from October 8 through November 9. There will be an opening reception from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday, October 8.
The gallery’s 11 artists are welcoming fall and the arrival of the area’s leaf season visitors. Included will be great handmade art at all price points, such as encaustic landscapes, tree scenes and abstracts, clay sculpture that references cultural myths, folklore, and human relationships. There will also be acrylic paintings, photography, metal works, meditation bowls, tiles, and steel furniture.
Participating artists include Jenny Mastin, Cassie Ryalls, Angelique Tassistro, Greg Vineyard, Phil DeAngelo, Mary Farmer, Patty Bilbro, Kelly Prestwood, Cynthia Wynn, Mystery Masiello, and Constance Williams.
Opening reception days at Constance Williams Gallery are the second Saturday of every month throughout the year. These events are a great time to meet local artists (many of whom you’ve read about in local and national media), visit their working studios, learn about their processes, and see new works being created. They are free and open to the public.
Constance Williams Gallery is located at 9 Riverside Drive (the middle building in the CURVE studios & garden art complex) in the River Arts District. For more information, visit constancewilliamsgallery.com. Hours are from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. seven days a week.
