The annual fund-raising calendar from Phoenix Landing, a parrot rescue nonprofit organization located in Western North Carolina and in Arlington, Virginia, is now available for $15.

This is the fourth year The Laurel of Asheville editor Paul M. Howey has been the lead photographer. Paul notes, “Parrots are beautiful and highly intelligent creatures. Too often, people get parrots without understanding either their needs or their long lifespans.”
