“Deck the Trees” Monte Vista Hotel
Post Date: 11.01.2011
The Monte Vista Hotel in Black Mountain is inviting area businesses, groups, and nonprofit organizations to decorate one of the 12 Christmas trees that will be placed in the hotel for the holidays. Each group will decorate its tree November 28–30, and all the trees will be on display from December 1 through January 2.
The trees will be judged and the winners announced on Friday, December 9, at an event that will include drink specials, appetizers, live music, and art from AnTHM Gallery and the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League.
Those interested in reserving a tree to decorate should contact Cappi Macsherry at 828.419.0049.
The trees will be in place for the “Sugar Plum Cookie Tour” December 10–11, an event sponsored by the Black Mountain-Swannanoa Chamber. The tour includes area B&Bs and inns, and offers the public a chance to view the Christmas decorations at each from noon–4 p.m. each day. Tickets for the tour are $15 and available by calling 828.669.2300.
