Kimberly and Michelle Cann in Benefit Concert

Concert pianists Kimberly and Michelle Cann will perform in a house concert from 3–5 p.m. on January 22. Proceeds from concert ticket sales will benefit the Asheville Chamber Music Series’ piano fund. the event, in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Loomis, will feature works by Ravel, Poulenc, Milhaud, and Debussy.

Kimberly and Michelle have performed professionally since childhood and are well known throughout the region. Kimberly received her masters degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and Michelle is currently an Artist Diploma student of Robert McDonald at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Asheville Chamber Music Series (ACMS) is raising money to purchase a steinway concert grand piano to enrich the organization’s offerings and to eliminate the problems associated with renting pianos for its concerts.

“We are hopeful that we will achieve our goal ... before the end of our current season,” says Richard Wrightson, ACMS president.
