“The Sisters” Exhibit at F.W. Front Gallery
Post Date: 01.01.2012The artwork of Suzanne Snyder and Judi Goloff, will be on display at the F.W. Front Gallery at Woolworth Walk in an exhibit titled “The Sisters” through the month of January. There will be an opening reception from 4–6 p.m. on Friday, January 6.
The two have been working with recycled materials for 25 years (they say they’ve been “dumpster divers” long before “going green” was a popular concept), and their creations have been on display in the lower level of the gallery for the past six years.
Suzanne began as a traditional oil and watercolor artist, and later began working with handmade and recycled paper, as well as “found” objects. judi’s knowledge of glass is reflected in her use of stained glass, jewelry, and fused recycled bottles.
The gallery is at 25 Haywood Street in downtown Asheville. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday, and closed Tuesdays. For information, visit www.woolworthwalk.com.
