Chili, Show Dogs & Motorcross: It’s Happening in Hendersonville

During this cold season, make plans for some indoor fun. This month in Hendersonville, enjoy indoor motocross, a dog show, and warm up with a great chili cook-off.

On the weekend of January 7–9 at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center, experience the exhilaration of breathtaking speed and high-flying tricks when the Indoor MX Series comes to town. The event, which begins at 7 P.M., is produced by Victory Sports and features top names in the sport as well as up-and-coming competitors. There will be a Chili Cook-Off on January 15 at the Veritas Christian Academy in the school gym at 12:15 P.M. Contestants will prepare their special recipes for public tasting and vie for top prizes of cash, bragging rights, and plaques. Think you have a winning recipe? The American Kennel Club Dog Agility Trials will be at the WNC Agricultural Center January 21–23 at the McGough Arena. Watch as the dogs jump hurdles, race at high speeds through tunnels, and climb over A-frames. Shows start daily at 8 A.M. and are free to spectators. Please leave your dogs at home.
