Shop Talk: Bluebird Designs
An artist in sterling silver and enamel, Jessica Hall has been creating jewelry since she was six years old. Born in Florida, she moved out west at age 16, discovered her affinity for mountains, and began selling her creations.
Studying at the Honolulu Academy of Art in Hawaii, she made her first ‘bird necklace’ and fell in love with enamel. She then completed the Jewelry Technician Course at Revere Academy of Jewelry Art in San Francisco and started the line she sells today at Bluebird Designs in the River Arts District.
“A little over three years ago I came through Asheville and it just felt like a good fit,” she says. “I still have the mountains and I enjoy being back in an area with southern hospitality.”
Jessica enjoys making donation pieces to help those who have persevered through difficult situations. “My jewelry makes people happy,” she says. “It induces smiles.”
