Mountain Spirit Coffeehouse: Ronny Cox and Jack Williams

Post Date: 09.01.2010

Ronny Cox is a multitalented individual—songwriter, storyteller, and singer. “He charms crowds with self- teasing humor, tart progressive insight, and a lulling Southwestern folk sound,” says Scott Alark in The Boston Globe. His latest album, Songs With Repercussions, showcases an original, sophisticated lyric-driven folksy sound. The stories that accompany these songs are something else entirely.

Jack Williams, a veteran singer/songwriter and accomplished guitar player with a large local following in Asheville, will appear with Ronny at Mountain Spirit Coffeehouse at 7 p.m. on September 12.

Mountain Spirit Coffeehouse is located at the Unitarian Universalist Church, One Edwin Place in Asheville. Donations are $15 for adults and $8 for students. For information, call 828.299.4171 or visit uuasheville.org.
