The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. 30 Minute Make Your Own: A Hot Shop Experience. Cup, Ornament, or Paperweight

This is an opportunity to receive a guided experience with this magical material and create your own glass keepsake in the “hotshop” or glass blowing studio. In this hands-on class, students work one-on- one with an experienced instructor to create a piece of glass art. Choose between crafting a paperweight, ornament or drinking glass. Customize your piece with colors of your choice, learn the basics, and feel free to ask questions as your instructor assists you with the entire process! All levels welcome.

$65-$80 | Ages 13+ | 1 Student Per Class

Class is offered daily in 30 minute increments, excluding Tuesdays.
