The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Please allow up to 48 hours for your even to be posted. If you encounter difficulties submitting an event, please email gina@thelaurelofasheville.com.

ASAP’s 2019 Farm Tour
Experience firsthand how food is grown and raised in the Southern Appalachian Mountains! Choose from over 20 WNC family farms to visit and encounter the sights, tastes, and stories of working farms through guided tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. The tour is family-friendly and a wonderful summer adventure for visitors of all ages and interests. Learn more and purchase your tour pass at asapconnections.org.

What: ASAP’s 2019 Farm Tour
When: Saturday and Sunday, June 22–23, 12–5 pm both days
Where: Over 20 family farms within an hour drive of Asheville

Admission: Tickets are $30 per car in advance, $40 the weekend of the tour.
Volunteering for the tour: Spend one afternoon from 12-5 pm welcoming visitors at a participating farm and in exchange receive a free tour pass (good for a full car) to visit farms on the day you aren’t working. Volunteering is a great way to connect with a local farm, make new farm friends, and meet people from across the region!
