Classical Sunday Music Series

September 24 @ 11:00 am

Free

Join us for the next installment of our Classical Sunday Music Series — September 24, 11 a.m. Free.

Session Café will be serving light bites, coffee drinks, cocktails, and mocktails. Enjoy music by guitarist Sam Irvin. Sam will be playing nylon string, finger-style guitar as part of Citizen Vinyl’s ongoing classical music series. You can expect some jazz chord melodies, improvisation, ambience… but mostly classical repertoire such as Bach, Mertz, Giuliani, Carcassi, Dyens and more! Come spend a Sunday morning with him and enjoy the music he has cared so deeply to cultivate.

Originally from Brevard, Sam moved to Asheville to attend UNCA and graduated a decade ago (2013) with a jazz studies and philosophy double major. Ever since, he has been developing his skills as a teaching-artist, eager to study and practice with the priority of better articulating his creative ideas. Sam has worked with Moog Music Inc., LEAF Schools & Streets, and Asheville Music School. He eventually began Irvin Music Studio (an LLC and the name of his home studio) to serve as a hub for all of his musical endeavors. He hosts a weekly livestream/video podcast called Asheville 8(pm) Note on YouTube (80 episodes in) and is currently working on an album with the goal of finishing the recording process by the end of the year.
