Decoupage Picture Frame Workshop
June 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm$27
A photograph is a great way to capture a memory—but displaying it in a frame that also captures the moment makes it even more special!
Decoupage, the art of cutting out and adhering paper images to a surface, has had a big resurgence recently, and it’s easy to see why. It’s fun and economical (it’s a great way to make ordinary objects extraordinary, or give new life to old, worn out objects), and almost anyone can produce a beautiful piece of art with minimal effort.
In this workshop, you’ll create a decoupage picture frame that captures something meaningful for you. Your frame can highlight Asheville—and, for tourists, would make a wonderful, handmade souvenir—or pretty much anything you can think of: another city, a person, a feeling, etc. If you can picture it, you can “paint” it with just a little glue and paper!
