If you would like to submit an event to appear in our online Community Events Calendar, please visit our submission page.

The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a four-day schedule will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 4 days for your even to be posted. Hendersonville Art and Architecture Walking Tours

The popular FREE Art and Architecture Walking Tours offered by the Arts Council of Henderson County return for 2020. The 90-minute tour of Downtown Hendersonville gathers at 9:00 am in front of The Center for Art & Inspiration at 125 South Main Street. Tours are led by Arts Council board member Doug Gelbert who has created over 400 architectural tours in towns across the United States and Canada. He is co-author of How About Them Apples? Be in the Know in Hendersonville and teaches the architectural course, “What House Style Is That?” at Blue Ridge Community College. All tours are free of charge and no pre-registration is required. Just show up ready to walk. As always, dogs are welcome to accompany their well-behaved owners on the Art and Architectural Walking Tours. Named “One of the 10 Best Things You Can Do in North Carolina at 9:00 on a Saturday morning”
