HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS BY LOOKING WITHIN
January 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The talk I’ve been giving, “How To Improve Your Relationships by Looking Within” is working. Even (or especially) for experienced, knowledgeable, well-read folks, this material invites deep and real discussion and sharing, and the feedback has been outstanding.
So, I’m doing the talk again on Thursday evening, January 16.
The first 20 people who respond yes and who attend the event will automatically be entered in a drawing for a kind, funny video by comedian Robert Dubac called “Inside the Male Intellect.” It’s brilliant. It’s equally funny and wise for men and women, a great date night movie.
Here’s a shareable FB link for the speaking event. Please feel free to share this link and invite your friends. I don’t know anything more important than getting along with others — it’s the basis of everything good that happens in our lives.
Here’s a video invitation: https://youtu.be/vtmPMb317-w
And for a quick written synopsis of what we’ll cover, here you go:
Relationships with others are multi-layered and deep, aren’t they?
Need some help? Clarity? Encouragement?
I’ve got some, and I’m happy to share.
MONTREAT COLLEGE — South Campus — ADULT AND GRADUATE STUDIES, NEW LOCATION!!!

We’ll cover three main ideas that saved my marriage and changed my life. These trouble spots show up in every consulting session I do with individuals and couples. Even for experienced, knowledgeable, well-read individuals or couples, this material is rich and invites deep and real discussion and sharing.
1. BEING YOUR TRUE SELF. Stop being who you aren’t. What does this mean? How can you tell if you’re being who you aren’t? (The answer to this will surprise you.) Who were you taught to be that isn’t you? How does being who you aren’t affect your relationships?
This discussion — at first — surprises, confounds or amazes most people, but when the light of understanding switches on (and it will during the evening) you’ll solve mysteries and feel hope and happiness rising.
2. PERCEPTION. Which is more important — what happens or how you interpret what happens? You can probably guess the answer, but how does this translate to daily life — for you? Where and how does rubber meet your road?
Be prepared for a mind-blowing video.
3. CHANGE FEELS STRANGE. Why does change seem so hard? Why do we give it a go, only to slide backwards? Why are we loyal to reactions, mindsets, beliefs that don’t benefit us, our partner — or a friend, family or business relationship? Feel illuminated and encouraged about the change process.
You’ll walk away with ideas, tools and a deeper understanding of how to get along with others — those you live with, work with, gave birth to, or consider a friend. RSVP to InCareOfRelationships@gmail.com or respond to this event.
Hope to see you there!
