The Laurel of Asheville is a lifestyle magazine focused on the arts, culture, and communities of Western North Carolina, and submitted events should fall within this context. If your event occurs over several days, please submit multiple events. Events extending beyond a month will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to editorial approval and edits for clarity and style before being published online. If you are going to include a photograph, please be certain that you have the rights to utilize that image. If there is a question about image rights, we may remove the image. Also, images should be no larger than 2000 pixels wide. Large images will prevent the event from being submitted. Please allow up to 5 days for your even to be posted. If you encounter difficulties submitting an event, please email [email protected].

LEAF Global Arts Holiday Pop-up Bazaar

$5LEAF Global Arts is hosting its inaugural Holiday Pop-up Bazaar! Bring your family and shop for your loved ones while listening to music by various LEAF Schools & Streets Teaching Artists and other local musicians. A free holiday craft-making station will be set up, perfect for kids and creatives of any age. Come shop from your favorite LEAF merchants from 2pm-8pm!
This event takes place during First Friday on The Block, a monthly celebration that uplifts local businesses and showcases the art and culture of the historic Block, one of the largest Black Wall St. districts before urban renewal.
Together, let’s celebrate the essence of our community this holiday season.
Music throughout, with featured the band Ovayda from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Ovadya is neo-psychedelic, world-influenced original music. Ovadaya’s show is powerful, transcendent, and will take you on a journey.
Suggested donation $5 at the door.
