Shawn James Live

August 17 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Independent troubadour Shawn James is currently touring in support of his fourth album, The Dark and The Light (released March 22). Born and raised in Chicago, James’ music exudes a gritty-rock/blues sound that showcases his powerful and distinctive voice, an instrument he honed while singing in gospel choirs in his youth. Creating songs that are both relatable and vulnerable, his music features honest songwriting, with lyrics that have often been shaped by painful life experiences. Reflecting the genuine emotions and feelings that these events can stir up, James’ music is ultimately brought to life by his extraordinary vocals. Witnessing James perform his compelling songs live is an unforgettable and inspiring experience that will open your eyes to a new type of power and truth within music.
