The Sounds of Georgia
September 28, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$33 – $43In one night of music, experience the best Macon-based soul artists such as Little Richard, Ray Charles, James Brown and Otis Redding. Take a ride on the Chattahoochee by enjoying hits from Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt and the Zach Brown Band. Get lost in the powerful musical moments of the Allman Brothers and Atlanta Rhythm Section. Feel the angst of the 80s from Athens with bands like R.E.M and the B-52s. From the influential unsung heros that played a Stratocaster upside down and left handed (Johnny Jenkins, who was Jimi Hendrix’s main influence) to the reformed rhythms that became the Black Crowes, don’t miss a show that really brings the musical history together in a vibrant performance…much like the vibrant red clay Georgia is best known for.
