Then\, you’ll be guided through creating your own poppet — crafting a petition\, blending a custom herbal mix to activate your piece\, and adorning it with textiles and symbols that hold personal meaning. SUMMARY:Sarah Arthur\, the Spiritual Journey of an American Jewish Woman--a folk musical
DESCRIPTION:The musical was conceived in the midst of Hurricane Helene as a collaboration by Asheville and Nashville musicians promoting a message of peace\, hope\, and a search for meaning in life.  The musical is narrated by local actress Krista Tortura.  The narration is the story of a fictional Jewish Woman whose family escaped from the Holocaust.  That Holocaust history and DNA drives Sarah to reach out and work with other oppressed peoples who\, like her parents\, are fleeing from authoritarian regimes to seek safety in America.\nThe story bridges Sarah’s birth to her final realizations about death and about being a mother to two children.  The songs were written over a span of thirty-five years by the creator of the musical Alan Graf (civil rights lawyer and musician) and brought to life by Asheville musicians Charlie Shew (percussion); Jeff Hersk (bass); Em Hurley (guitar and vocals); Gary Rodberg (clarinet); and Nashville songsters Maria Callahan and T Calderon.\nThe musical stands out as a message not only to the Jewish community but to those who seek meaning\, justice and peace in a troubled world.

SUMMARY:Four Seaons Chamber Orchestra Fall 2025 Concert "Dreams and Visions"
DESCRIPTION:The concert features an ethereal and emotive selection of musical compositions with themes along French Impressionism\, contrasts of darkness and light\, hope and despair. This experience features two selections by Claude Debussy; Reverie and Clair de Lune. Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de Printemps brings the joy of a spring morning.  Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique Movements II  and IV\, are inspired by his intense and unrequited love and despair.  Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Pathetique Movement II\,  is graceful and poetic against Movement IV\, a deeply mournful lament. Concertgoers will bask in a musical journey inspired by dreams and visions.  \nThe concert will be held at the Bo Thomas Auditorium\, at Blue Ridge Community College\, 130 Eagles Reach Dr\, Flat Rock\, NC 28731  on November 16th at 3:00 pm. Tickets are by $15 suggested donation at the door.

Created from Linda Ronstadt’s backing band in 1971\, the Eagles are famous for fusing country and rock (Take It Easy\, Peaceful Easy Feeling\, Witchy Woman\, Desperado\, Tequila Sunrise) country and disco (One Of These Nights) country and R & B (Take It To The Limit\, The Long Run\, I Can’t Tell You Why\, Heartache Tonight\, Please Come Home For Christmas) and of course\, classic rock (Hotel California\, Life In The Fast Lane). The Eagles have had 5 #1 singles\, 6 #1 albums\, 6 Grammys\, and have sold 200 million records worldwide; they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998\, and continue to perform today\, led by co-founder Don Henley\, long-time members Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh\, as well as country star Vince Gill. \nDeep River’s signature sound features three women who sing all the lead and harmony vocals.
