SUMMARY:Modelface Comedy presents Corey Ryan Forrester
DESCRIPTION:Modelface Comedy brings the best comedians from all over the country to Asheville\, NC. This week we are excited to have Corey Ryan Forrester!! \nCorey’s love for comedy started when he was a toddler watching Carson (and then Leno) from a blanket on the floor next to his daddy\, Dale. By the second grade\, Corey had already informed his teachers that he would be a comedian and didn’t ever consider another profession. At 16\, he worked up the nerve to do his first open mic (lying about his age to be admitted into the club). \nCorey spent the next decade hawking jokes in dingy bars and comedy clubs at night\, then waking up to do random jobs to supplement his income. He was a house painter\, retail associate\, motorcycle salesman\, urine sample collector\, flower delivery boy\, hotel maid\, college textbook reseller\, and hay bailer… at one point\, he ran a family bakery with his mother and sister where he was considered the “Head Quiche Chef.” \nIn 2015 Corey traded in his chef’s hat for a full-time trucker hat. Under Corey’s trucker hat is a giant head\, and under that are surprisingly thought-provoking rants on society\, culture\, and politics. His stand-up blends humor and common sense into a high-energy act full of silly physical comedy\, recounting wild stories and emotionally-driven tangents. \nCorey dreams of being in the small club of EGOT winners. His creative output is nearly insatiable and propelled by his passion for writing\, performance\, and silliness. Choosing to live in his hometown of Chickamauga\, when Corey isn’t on the road touring internationally as part of the wellRED Comedy Tour\, he takes hours-long walks through the woods\, talks on the phone with his momma\, and makes live videos to destigmatize mental health. \nYou can find daily videos and writing across Corey’s platforms. He makes viral character videos and political satire sketches\, writes daily for his Substack subscribers\, works on his upcoming second book\, and produces more podcasts than you can count. Corey’s undeniable charm has garnered fans like Whoopi Goldberg\, Chelsea Clinton\, Leslie Jones\, and Dave Bautista. His greatest honor has been connecting with people of all kinds\, meeting fans on the road\, and making his family proud\, even if they cringe a little. \nDoors: 6:30 PM\nShow: 7:00 PM \nPREMIUM SEATING: $30.00\nDAY OF: $25.00\nADVANCED: $20.00 \n– AGES 18+\n– FULLY SEATED SHOW\n– LIMITED NUMBER OF PREMIUM SEATING TICKETS AVAILABLE* \n*premium seating is the front three rows

SUMMARY:SPIRITED IMPROV PLAYSHOP SERIES
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT SPIRITED IMPROV\nSpirited Improv is a unique fusion of expressive arts\, spiritual practice\, and group play that helps you release fear\, trust the unknown\, and show up as your truest self.\nSpirited Improv is a soul-centered community experience that uses improvisational play as the container for spiritual growth\, personal transformation\, and authentic connection. Rather than focusing on comedy or performance\, we use improv as a living practice\, one that invites presence\, trust\, curiosity\, and responsiveness in the moment. \nFacilitated by Jessica Chilton\, who brings over 20 years of improvisational performing arts experience and 16 years as an expressive arts therapist\, weaving creativity\, spirituality\, and presence into a safe\, transformative group experience.\nThrough embodied improvisational play\, movement\, voice\, storytelling\, sound\, and silence\, we create a living container where authenticity is welcomed and presence is practiced. Over time\, this shared experience fosters deep connection\, confidence\, and a felt sense of belonging.\nSpirited Improv is for those seeking a spiritual community grounded in lived experience\, where growth happens through relationship\, creativity\, and the courage to show up fully. As we transform individually through improv\, we strengthen the collective and contribute to a more compassionate world.\nWHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING\n“Spirited Improv is authentic\, vulnerable and connective. It meets my need to deeply feel\, be seen and see others. On my first night I experienced such a profound healing experience after sharing what was on my heart. It was like a sound\, healing touch\, full moon energy bath that opened my heart. ” ~ Kate \n“Spirited Improv is a fun and little bit edgy way of interacting with the mystery of the moment. You decide how much you want to interact or observe from the audience so you never have to do anything you don’t want to do. It is an opportunity to let go of control and explore the spontaneity of life and creativity in a supportive\, safe environment..” ~ Kenyon \n“I got to play\, move my body\, laugh\, take joy in watching my friends come alive\, give and receive big hugs\, and feel the presence of the ancestors who always join me. There’s something so sacred about being present with others while we play\, witness and embody what is.” ~ Sue\nWHO IS THIS FOR \nPeople drawn to spirituality\, personal growth\, and inner exploration \nThose seeking genuine connection\, community\, and a sense of belonging \nCreatives and non-creatives alike – no improv or performance experience needed \nIndividuals who value compassion\, openness\, and radical acceptance \nPeople who want to grow in joyful\, embodied ways rather than through heavy or rigid processes \nThose who want to make a positive impact by starting with inner transformation \nIf you’re open\, curious\, and willing to show up as you are—you belong here.
