The Horse Shoe Farm has a busy summer calendar throughout June and July. On Friday, June 23, The Silo Cookhouse presents a Supper Club with Tiny Bridge Farms. Tiny Bridge Farms was the partner for the inaugural Supper Club dinner last summer, so this particular installation in the series will be a fun homecoming. “Tiny Bridge Farms is committed to growing fresh, tasty food according to organic standards and paying fair wages, which is vital to our community,” says farm steward Rachel Turchin.
Each Supper Club is an opportunity for The Silo Cookhouse team to take seasonal, sustainably grown ingredients and build a dynamic menu. “We’re just as excited as our guests are when they arrive,” says executive chef Dan Williams. “Growers like Ed are what make the culinary scene in our region so special, and opportunities to highlight their skills are always special events.”
The Horse Shoe Farm is hosting Wellness Wednesdays at The Stable Spa every week through the summer. The sessions are diverse, themed around somatic experiences and sound journeys. “We love collaborating with amazing local practitioners that offer modalities and practices that help our guests expand their ‘toolbox’ on their own wellness journeys,” says Turchin.
In July, The Horse Shoe Farm presents its annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4 at The Silo Cookhouse with a farm-to-table cookout, wine, beer and seasonal cocktails, lawn games, a s’mores bar, live music and a fireworks display. On July 16, The Horse Shoe Farm will host the Heritage Fire Tour, an all-inclusive outdoor culinary experience with more than 20 participants cooking over open fire. Tickets are on sale now.
