Their songs pay close attention to ordinary moments\, shaped by the belief that grace often shows up in these places. Rooted in bluegrass and Celtic tradition\, the band blends acoustic drive with reflective songwriting and close harmony singing shaped by lives lived across borders. \nRooted in bluegrass and Celtic tradition\, the band creates their own sound with reflective songwriting and enchanting singing shaped by lives lived across borders. SUMMARY:Shlomo Franklin w/ Julie Odell
DESCRIPTION:Shlomo Franklin is an American singer/songwriter born on a small cow farm in upstate New York. Raised off the cultural grid\, without music\, television\, or radio\, his songs are strongly influenced by his cult-like religious upbringing. Shlomo released his debut album in 2019 which was produced by Grammy Award winner C Lanzbom and released a double album follow up from his now Nashville\, TN home. His 3rd album\, Land of Hopes & Schemes\, is set to release in early summer 2026. Franklin has opened up for Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers and shared festivals with The Nude Party and The Bones of JR Jones. His songs are just as comfortable in front of a crowd of two thousand as they are in a living room house concert. Shlomo sees himself as a bare bones troubadour and is stubbornly trendless.

SUMMARY:Amici – Jewish Jazz the Sequel
DESCRIPTION:AmiciMusic returns to the White Horse for another thrilling JEWISH JAZZ program on Saturday\, May 30th at 2:00pm. “JEWISH JAZZ–the Return of the Jewdi” is a sequel to the fun and popular program they performed last year featuring the wonderful Seth Kibel on clarinet and Artistic Director Daniel Weiser on piano. They will highlight more exciting connections between American Jazz and Klezmer-influenced music with works by Jacob Weinberg\, Benny Goodman\, Bela Kovacs\, and a fantastic arrangement of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” Dr. Weiser will tell great stories about how these two idioms intertwined in the early part of the 20th century as the wave of Jewish immigrants to NYC met up with the Great Migration of African-Americans from the South. Kibel is a phenomenal talent who has been voted best musician in the Baltimore/DC area for several years. You won’t want to miss this toe-tapping exciting music. \nFor more info about the program and the artists\, visit: https://www.amicimusic.org/concert/jewish-jazz-5-3/.
