He’s best known as “Bud”\, sharing the screen with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin on the hit Netflix series\, Grace & Frankie. Baron also lends his voice as “Tom Servo” in the recent seasons of cult-hit\, Mystery Science Theater 3000. \nHe co-created and co-hosted the groundbreaking Comedy Central showcase variety series The New Negroes with Baron Vaughn and Open Mike Eagle. The show shined a light on both established and rising Black artists in comedy and music. Baron’s deeply personal project\, Fatherless\, directed by the award-winning Dawn Porter\, explores the impact of absent fathers on families and communities while he also endeavored to finally connect with his own absent father. \nAs a comedian\, Baron has been entertaining audiences for more than 20 years. He has two comedy recordings\, Raised by Cable and Blaxistential Crisis\, both available on all streaming platforms. Baron’s been seen on Comedy Central’s The Half Hour and The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail\, as well as on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens\, and TBS’ Conan. Baron has performed at many renowned festivals including HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival (Aspen)\, Just for Laughs (Montreal & Vancouver)\, Life Is Beautiful (Las Vegas)\, SXSW (Austin)\, and the New York Comedy Festival. He quickly became a fixture on the Austin comedy scene and was tapped to work with the likes of – Ron White\, George Lopez\, Greg Giraldo and Mitch Hedberg to name a few. He was asked to perform at Showtimes Latino Laff Festival 3 years in a row and has also performed at the Philly Fringe Festival\, New York Comedy Festival\, Skankfest and also a multiple finalist in the ‘Funniest Person in Austin’ Contest. This week we have local favorite Aaron Naylor on the rooftop at Antidote! \nAaron Naylor is a stand-up comedian known for his one-liners about whales and his mom. In 2013\, he performed at his first open mic at Laff’s Comedy Caffe after moving to Tucson\, because he felt like it. \nShortly after\, he moved back home to Kansas City and won the 2014 Local Comic Standing competition. He quickly became a Midwest favorite\, placing 2nd in the 2016 Cleveland Comedy Festival\, winning the 2017 Funniest Person in Wichita\, and was featured on season 8 of Comcast’s Trial by Laughter. \nAaron has performed at some of the best comedy festivals in the country\, including San Francisco Sketchfest\, Limestone\, Asheville\, and 10\,000 Laughs. He has also shared the stage with cool comedians like Todd Barry\, Sam Tallent\, and Ron Funches. His comedy has been featured on Dry Bar\, Comcast\, Comedy Juice\, and the whole entire internet. \nIn 2021\, Aaron was named the Funniest Person in Kansas City by KC Magazine\, while also co-founding the Fountain City Comedy Festival. In 2023\, he released a book called “Things I Wrote” to acclaim\, he thinks\, and shot his first comedy special “Born Illiterate” with Four by Three Productions. in 2024\, his dry bar special “those were the days” was released to acclaim and a billion views\, he bets. She is based in Atlanta\, Georgia where she co-produces West End Comedy Festival and Hissy Fit Comedy. She is a weekend regular at the Punchline and Laughing Skull Lounge where she was the April 2022 resident. Holly has opened for Tim Meadows\, Rachel Feinstein\, Jessica Kirson\, Geoffrey Asmus\, and many other touring comics. She frequently tours with Moms Unhinged\, a group of stand up comics (and moms) who have been selling out clubs and theatres across the country.
