SUMMARY:The Beethoven 32
DESCRIPTION:April 19-25\n32 Pianists. 32 Sonatas. One Historic Week. Organized by concert pianist and educator Dr. Hwa-Jin Kim\, The Beethoven 32 is a monumental community celebration featuring 32 local and regional pianists. Experience a historic first for Western North Carolina as 32 pianists\, ranging in age from 14 to 87\, perform the complete cycle of Ludwig van Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas. \nOver seven days\, students\, amateurs\, and professionals from five states gather at Piano Emporium (Asheville) and Freeburg Pianos (Hendersonville) for this community-wide celebration. Supported by Asheville Arts\, this project serves as a local kickoff for the upcoming 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s legacy. Join us for an intimate\, collective journey through some of the greatest music ever written. \nPlease note: Performances take place at both Piano Emporium (Asheville) and Freeburg Pianos (Hendersonville). \nSee a complete schedule at: https://www.sonaremusicacademy.com/events/beethoven-32-bicentennial-celebration-kick-off
