Katie Otwell<\/p><\/div>\n

AmiciMusic\u2019s March offering is a program of incredible piano trios. Featured will be Felix Mendelssohn\u2019s Trio No. 2 in C Minor<\/i> and Johannes Brahms\u2019 Trio in B Major<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The performers for this concert are Katie Otwell (violin), Franklin Keel (cello), and AmiciMusic\u2019s founder and artistic director Daniel Weiser (piano).<\/p>\n

Katie, who lives in Atlanta, has been concertmaster with the Georgia Philharmonic, and she\u2019s also played with the Atlanta Ballet Symphony and Atlanta Pops, and is the principal second violinist of the Asheville Symphony.<\/p>\n

Franklin is a favorite in the Asheville area. He grew up here and returned after his time at Eastman School of Music to become associate principal cellist with the Asheville Symphony. Franklin is also a cofounder of the Opal String Quartet.<\/p>\n

Daniel has performed in 15 countries around the world, including Egypt, Thailand, France, and Syria. He earned his doctorate in piano from the Peabody Conservatory.<\/p>\n

There will be four venues for this concert:<\/p>\n

Friday, March 4<\/strong>, at 7 p.m. at Isis Restaurant & Music Hall in West Asheville (tickets are $15 and available at isisasheville.com)<\/p>\n

Saturday March 5<\/strong>, at 3 p.m. at The Cathedra of All Souls in Biltmore Village (tickets are $20 for the public, $15 for church members, and available at the door.<\/p>\n

Saturday, March 5<\/strong>, at 7:30 p.m. at The Nightingale Loft at 52 Broadway Street in Asheville ($35 per person, and available at nightingaleloft.com).<\/p>\n

Sunday, March 6<\/strong>, at 3 p.m. at White Horse Black Mountain (tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and available at whitehorseblackmountain.com).<\/p>\n
