He now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and says he draws inspiration for his work from the beauty of both regions.<\/p>\n<p>There will be an exhibition of his new works at the Grand Bohemian Gallery opening Friday and Saturday, March 25\u201326 (with the artist present both days from 5:30\u20138 p.m.), and running through April 30. Chris has been a signature artist for the Kessler Collection of boutique hotels and the Grand Bohemian Galleries since January 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Of the works debuting in March, Chris told <i>The Laurel<\/i>, \u201cThere are almost two bodies of work \u2026 one that focuses on gold leaf and one that returns to the painting of realistic mountainous backgrounds. Though they both deal with similar narratives, the gold leaf portion deals more significantly with an inner battle and a growing back to health; whereas, the pieces with nature in the background are focusing on esoteric incantations, spells, and rituals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI will also have some older works being showcased that will be larger in format and deal with astrological alignments, cyphers, and beauty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>The Grand Bohemian Gallery is located at 11 Boston Way in Biltmore Village.
