Jodie Appel<\/p><\/div>\n

Asheville Salt Cave owner Jodie Appel, originally from the New Jersey seaside, settled in the mountains of Western North Carolina 13 years ago. \u201cMy father greatly benefited from visiting a salt cave 12 years ago,\u201d says Appel. \u201cHe is a long-time asthma and allergy sufferer and had a punctured lung from an accident. After researching salt therapy, it felt like the next right step in helping others on their healing journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asheville Salt Cave is inspired by the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland. \u201cPeople live down there in the mines for months to heal from all sorts of ailments,\u201d says Appel.<\/p>\n

She loves creating transformative spaces that can be a catalyst for others on their wellness journeys. \u201cIt fills my heart to see people benefit in so many ways after walking through our doors,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n
