Stella Godwin, owner of Healthy Harvest, operates her small business with a mission to celebrate the organic wellness lifestyle and nurture each individual\u2019s strength to heal by offering a curated line of health products. She and her mother opened their first store in 1992 in Black Mountain and moved to their Brevard location in the early 2000s. \u201cWe are simply a shop, but I do my very best to help folks by living as authentically and as close to nature as I can myself,\u201d says Godwin.<\/p>\n

Healthy Harvest is a one-stop shop for dietary supplements, non-toxic health and beauty products, locally made artisan goods and organic and fair-trade herbs, teas and spices. Godwin\u2019s holistic values also apply to the building where her shop is housed. \u201cOur physical location is built out with no-VOC paints and no glues in the flooring,\u201d she says. \u201cMy protocol for choosing inventory is that it be as non-toxic as possible; why wouldn\u2019t I also create the space that houses the operations in the same regard as I choose the products that go inside? People talk of how good it feels in the shop. When you shop at Healthy Harvest you are in a high vibrational surrounding. Foods, plants, herbs, teas all have energies.\u201d<\/p>\n

A woman-owned local business, Healthy Harvest is a community staple that values the planet and people over profit. \u201cI appreciate the conscientious who shop with us and that we get to share in one another\u2019s stories, experiences and knowledge,\u201d says Godwin. \u201cOperating this business in Brevard is exceptional because we have so many fabulous people to work with, to laugh with and to grow with in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
