Ann Walsh and Cindy Ferland, co-owners of Ava & Arden, worked together at a high-end furniture store before deciding to branch out on their own. \u201cWe\u2019d only known each other for seven months before setting out on this business venture together,\u201d says Walsh.<\/p>\n

Ava & Arden specializes in upscale home and garden d\u00e9cor and high-end apparel. \u201cFor the longest time, we couldn\u2019t decide on a name for the store,\u201d Walsh says. \u201cWe cycled through family names and pet names, and finally landed on the names of two of my great-nieces.\u201d Both knew instantly that the names fit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a lot of regular customers, and so many have become friends,\u201d says Ferland. The store offers unique finds and beautiful boutique gifts for tourists and locals alike.<\/p>\n
