Min Xiao-Fen and River Guerguerian<\/p><\/div>\n

Multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer Min Xiao-Fen will perform Thursday, June 22, at 8 p.m. at Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center.<\/p>\n

Min recently received a commission from the\u00a0Smithsonian Institution to compose new original soundtracks for Romance\u00a0of the Fruit Peddler<\/em> and Romance of the Western Chamber <\/em>two\u00a0historic Chinese silent films from the 1920s. Min, along with renowned\u00a0percussionist River\u00a0Guerguerian, will present the new film scores for the first\u00a0time at the Asheville performance.<\/p>\n

As a special treat for attendees, both films will be\u00a0screened during the concert, providing a unique and immersive musical\u00a0experience.<\/p>\n
