{"id":60794,"date":"2023-07-19T08:39:20","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T12:39:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/?p=60794"},"modified":"2023-07-19T08:40:50","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T12:40:50","slug":"inaugural-avlfest-set-for-august-3-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/latest-news-and-updates\/inaugural-avlfest-set-for-august-3-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Inaugural AVLFest Features More than 200 Acts, Set for August 3-6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wicked Weed Brewing and Worthwhile Sounds will present the inaugural AVLFest, a citywide celebration of music and community spanning 20 stages throughout Asheville, August 3 through 6.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200 acts are slated to fill concert halls, bars, and outdoor stages, including the storied\u00a0Scott McMicken\u00a0of Dr. Dog,\u00a0Nikki Lane,\u00a0Sarah Shook &amp; The Disarmers, local and regional heavyweights\u00a0Tyler Ramsey,\u00a0Toubab Krewe,\u00a0Amanda Anne Platt &amp; The Honeycutters, Asheville\u2019s famed ragtime revivalist spectacle\u00a0The Blue Rags, and so many more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-60798\" src=\"https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/unnamed-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/unnamed-3.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/unnamed-3-300x100.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>Performances will be held throughout the weekend with wristbands granting passholders priority entry to all AVLFest official participating venues, as well discounts at numerous local retailers and restaurants, and presale access and discounts to two separately ticket AVLFest standalone events \u2013 Americana band\u00a0Watchhouse, performing at\u00a0The Outpost\u00a0on\u00a0August 3, and rock outfit\u00a0Kurt Vile &amp; The Violators\u00a0at\u00a0Highland Brewing\u00a0on\u00a0August 4.<\/p>\n<p>Committed to supporting local community causes, AVLFest has partnered with several area nonprofits including\u00a0RiverLink,\u00a0Black Wall Street,\u00a0Homeward Bound, and\u00a0Campaign for Southern Equality. In addition to raising awareness for their respective missions, a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to benefitting the nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p>Passes for AVLFest are now available and are $100 for general admission and $250 for VIP.
