West Asheville restaurant Jargon has opened The Argot Room, a stylish and intimate new event space on Haywood Road. \u201cAfter years of requests for large party reservations that we just couldn\u2019t accommodate, we are now able to offer guests the space directly next door to the restaurant,\u201d says Sean Piper, who co-owns Jargon and The Argot Room with his wife Shelly. \u201cWe built a catering kitchen and renovated the space extensively to reflect Jargon\u2019s artistic vibe. Chef Ryan Kline and our event coordinator Andrea Kentner work with clients to design their menus and craft their event.\u201d<\/p>\n

The space, which can accommodate up to 50 people, is suitable for any kind of gathering, including rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, experiential pop ups, fundraisers and wine dinners. \u201cWe work meticulously with our guests to orchestrate a memorable, unique experience for all,\u201d says Piper. \u201cWe also plan to bring more live music back to West Asheville by hosting small listening parties and jazz events.\u201d<\/p>\n

A far cry from a generic banquet hall, The Argot Room is brimming with personality. Conveniently situated in the heart of West Asheville, the carefully curated space has small seating areas for conversation and abundant details that add intrigue: a vintage mirror wall, a bookshelf hallway and a mural among them. \u201cIt\u2019s for that group that wants something different and meaningful,\u201d says Piper. \u201cWe commissioned the paint-by-numbers style mural by local artist Jennifer Barrineau and the bookshelf installation was designed and built by Brantly Tyson\u2014it even has a secret door.\u201d<\/p>\n
