The book contains specific step-by-step gardening advice, informational charts and tables, photographs and personal stories. \u201cPeople have told us it feels like having an expert gardening friend at their side,\u201d says Bogwalker. \u201cWe\u2019re super passionate about gardening as a sort of revolutionary act, something that can be part of the solution to the world\u2019s many challenges right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-91838\" src=\"https:\/\/thelaurelofasheville.com\/updatestage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Book-Feature-1-Food-Garden-FrontCoverOfBook-1-copy-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"319\" \/>The book meets gardeners at all knowledge levels. \u201cI have a close friend who hasn\u2019t gardened much, but wants to, and she said that this book makes her feel empowered to try,\u201d Lieberman says. \u201cShe\u2019s checked out other gardening books and they either felt too technical or too dry and didn\u2019t really draw her in, but she told me ours feels really different.\u201d Gardeners with decades of experience, she adds, also say that the book offers fresh approaches.<\/p>\n<p>The guide enters the world at another challenging moment. \u201cThe last time I went to the grocery store, things were super expensive,\u201d says Bogwalker. \u201cWe\u2019re kind of in a similar situation with the war right now that we were at the beginning of COVID: supply chains are being disrupted and that\u2019s causing a lot of chaos and panic around the world.
