Andy Buchanan and J. Fred Stack bring different backgrounds but a shared passion for art to Kiitos Fine Art in Asheville\u2019s River Arts District. Stack, owner of the gallery, lived all over the United States and abroad before retiring to the North Carolina mountains more than 15 years ago. Although he long dreamed of opening an art gallery, it took dramatic circumstances to inspire him to finally make it happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe combination of Helene, and a near death experience a year ago, prompted me to get started on the next journey of my life,\u201d Stack says.
\nCurator Andy Buchanan moved to Asheville from McKinney, Texas, in 2024 and quickly became part of the local arts community as a studio artist. After losing his studio space, he partnered with Stack to create Kiitos. \u201cBuilding and curating this new space has been the best experience and I greatly look forward to a very bright future here,\u201d Buchanan says.<\/p>\n
